Procedure:

  1. Brainstromed ideas on the building of the rocket.
  2. Bought the body for the rocket.
  3. Designed, cut out and hot-glued the fins to the body using cardboard and hot glue gun.
  4. Attached the bungee cord to the inside of the body, about an inch from the top, using paper and glue.
  5. Made the nosecone by shaping out styrofoam.
  6. Built the engine holder using the foam, scissors, glue, dime-roller and wire.
  7. Glued the engine holder in its position, in the inside of the body at the bottom, using white liquid glue.
  8. Made the parachute using a plastic bag, tape and string, and attached it to the bungee cord.
  9. Attached a piece of drinking straw to the body of the rocket by the fins to be used to launch the rocket.
  10. Painted the rocket with acrylic paint.
  11. Used wadding in the middle of the parachute to prevent fire and used baby powder in the parachute to prevent it from sticking together.
  12. Modified the rocket by cutting out the bottom extended part of the fins, as we thought that it was reducing its sturdiness.
  13. Used engine B6 for the first launch of the rocket and launched it.
  14. Modified the rocket furthur by putting duct tape on the fins and the nosecone to increase the sturdiness of the rocket.
  15. Used engine C6, launched it for a second time.
  16. Analyzed the data of the launches and drew conclusion from it.
  17. Worked on and finished the wiki group page and the lab report.
